This angel is Archangel Ariel and she is breaking free. She is the result of finally releasing resistance and breaking free of the chains. She is pure joy, truth, and freedom. Hear her divine message within this article.

This painting is a depiction of what happens when we stop playing by the old rules and break free of the game. At first, it feels like giving up. But then, a weight lifts and we take a step into a world where illusions disappear. Here, the beautiful colors lying dormant within us come alive.

How many times do you toss glass in the garbage?

Have you ever closed the news app when you read about glaciers melting or California fires destroying entire ecosystems?

Archangel Ariel wants you to think for yourself, instead of doing “what everyone else does.”

Neglecting our role isn’t solving anything. Those are the old rules. Those are old habits that aren’t serving our planet. How often do we follow them blindly? How often do we just “do what’s easier”? Archangel Ariel wants you to open your eyes and stops this “game”. Thinking (and acting) for yourself is how we break free and make real change.

Siamese Fighting Fish

These beautiful flowy fish are betta fish. In this painting, they are symbols of freedom. This species is also known as Siamese fighting fish. Regardless of their beauty, they are aggressive, territorial, and even fight their own kind. (1)

This is one of the many species abused in the pet industry: they’re left in small containers and transported in frightening environments, causing many fish to die or become depressed (1) before arriving to pet stores that sell them off to uneducated pet owners who neglect the needs of this majestic creature.

These fish are so beautiful, yet their sensitive nature is irritated and they explode into aggression, disruption, and attack - especially when their territory is threatened by other fish. (1.2)

This abuse is a metaphor for our beliefs that are being challenged by society and “social norms”. We stand strong for what we believe in, right? We stand for love and peace, don’t we?

But after feeling socially abused (racism, gender exclusion, or app privacy), how often does our peaceful stance take an accidental turn into violence?

Or when our planet, our habitat, is at risk with global warming, how often do we become passive and negligent?

Threats to the Coral Reef

Behind the fish in this painting are layers of coral reef. Coral reef are saltwater creatures, opposed to the betta fish that live in freshwater.

When you understand betta fish and coral reef, this painting creates psychological tension: how are the betta fish living in the wrong environment, crammed with other bettas? How is the coral reef surviving in the wrong kind of water?

The truth is, the coral reef is at risk of extinction and 50% of the entire world's coral reef has bleached (2), meaning the color-producing algae have deserted the coral reef leading to its death. Bleaching is due to the rising temperature of the ocean water, the habitat of the coral reef might as well be freshwater: uninhabitable.

The reason is that both of these creatures are beautiful, no matter where they live and no matter what water they inhabit. Both of these species have been mistreated, misunderstood, and inadvertently abused by humans, by us, and we have the power to save these creatures.

The rising temperature of the water is caused by global warming and the greenhouse effect of fossil fuels, carbon dioxide, and other gasses disrupting the earth's atmosphere. (3)

“Breaking Free” is about stopping the slavery of our minds to guilt by association. Every single day, we allow ourselves to succumb to everyone else's choices, especially regarding recycling, the chemicals allowed in our food, and even social media privacy standards.

Just yesterday, my apartment complex started providing recycling again. They sent us a letter saying that recycling used to be abused, so they stopped it. They're bringing it back to give us a second chance. What an amazing miracle to have one apartment complex filled with over 450 residents to have the ability to recycle again!

PS: Ever heard the phrase "Please Recycle"? The phrase should be: "Recycle Correctly Please" - we should want no other option!!

Message from Archangel Ariel

Archangel Ariel is the archangel of Strength, often represented with a Lion. She is known for protecting the environment, especially the waters of our planet. She protects the animals and those who seek to save our world. She inspires courage and inner strength and provides to our essential needs. (4)

She is guiding us to heal the world and teaches us to make the right choice out of free will.

She communicates with us all the time with small metaphors intertwined with larger concepts.

She is guiding us with the phase of the moon to see the cycles of nature. The moon governs the tides, the waters. She wants us to see that no matter how distant, we are so very connected.

This painting is meant to help you see your connection to the world, no matter how disconnected it seems. Think of freshwater and saltwater - the same species cant survive there, but both are water. And both hold beauty and purpose. We're all connected no matter what water, no matter what country, and no matter what skin, gender, or preference.

When we don't respect each other, it's the same as not respecting our world.

When we create resistance for each other and our planet, we can't live freely.

And sometimes, we can't even survive.

It’s time to stop resisting this struggle. It feels like giving in - but really, it’s standing strong. Take the matters into your own hands and act with purpose. Support peace every single day.

Archangel Ariel in this painting is a joyful presence. She stands strong with the creatures that are still alive and offers them hope. She welcomes the deceased beings that lived a life of struggle into Spirit. She releases their pain and lost beauty.

She's smiling and saying to these creatures, "Thank you for teaching a lesson on how to respect beauty. It’s important for us to learn how indirect action has direct consequences on the things we love."

Most importantly, she supports us to find joy in preserving our ocean and planet.

She wants you to open your eyes and see her messages.

50% of the world's coral reef rests in peace now and is predicted to be completely eliminated within the next 50 years.

Do we have no room in our world for this kind of beauty?

It's up to you and me to decide.

Leave your reflections about this painting in the comments below. I can’t wait to hear how Archangel Ariel touches your soul!
