Artist Statement

I paint angels with animals and nature using acrylic washes layered under oil paint on canvas to create colorful, vibrant, high-contrast paintings.

These expressive portraits feature luscious, feathery wings with beautiful brushstrokes allowing the airy and magical qualities of these divine beings to spread awareness about the environment and human nature.

With dramatic contrast, radiant colors, and expressive figures, my artwork sparks emotions of confidence, resilience, and strength together with soft whispers of gentleness and peace. This dichotomy echoes a subtle presence of quiet communication. The extraordinarily profound messages are meant to guide us to appreciate the beauty on our planet. The animal and nature are symbols that sharpen and clarify the message, which is defined by the unique qualities of the creature or natural scene.

The angels with dramatic expressions emphasize the importance of their message. These portraits and figures represent angels and presences that have come to me in meditations or dreams. They may look at you or away from you, and that matters because it’s how they are presenting their message to you. 

I want my paintings to unveil these invisible winged messengers and make them seen in our visual plane. I hope to present the angels as real to us as animals and nature are, not just a fairytale or a miracle that only happens to some people. This angelic realm is part of our existence even though we can’t see it.

I hope to ignite the inner-calling within your soul that knows of unseen forces.  I hope that when you see my paintings, you see the beauty around you that inspires you to pause, connect, and listen.

If you connect closely, you can feel the Earth. She currently feels unloved by us. She is giving, giving, and giving; unfortunately, she is receiving very little in return. When you pause and appreciate the beauty, you will join us together to show pure love to the Earth.
