The intention is energetically infused into each piece through a meditation while painting. With each paint stroke, the specific energy is embedded into the piece.

This piece was inspired by yoga. I wanted to create an atmosphere of ancient wisdom. The pink lotus flower represents the growth of beauty from muddy waters. This metaphor is about enlightenment, how we can achieve inner peace, even from once suffering. I used the tans and gold, and the navy blue is a bold addition used frequently in ancient art. This is a very meditative and beautiful mandala with powerful energy.

The 3-dimensional gold embellishment gives this painting character and creates that special spark to bring it to life.
